Thank you for volunteering for the new Downtown Bracebridge
Autumn Art Market. We would not be able to run a successful event without our
volunteers! 

We ask that volunteers be no younger at least 13 years
old and in Grade 9 by the fall of 2024.


Community Hours can be collected. Please bring your community involvement form
if you require your hours to be signed off. 

Volunteers will get a free t-shirt that you will wear at
the event. 

Listed below are the available jobs and shift times
occurring over various dates and times. Each job has an associated description
providing some information about the associated tasks, some job titles have
various shifts and positions so please read each description
individually.  Activities will occur along Manitoba Street between Taylor
Road and Ontario street, and you will check in at the Little Black Bow store at
34 Manitoba Street 15 minutes prior to your shift. 

To register to volunteer, check the box of the job and shift
time (or times) you are interested in. Then enter the name of the volunteer and
contact information to be best reached at. Lastly, please read through and
accept the waiver. After registering you will receive a confirmation message
with additional information.

VOLUNTEER WAIVER
REQUIRED SIGNATURE FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
Please read the following waiver and accept the terms and conditions:

Participants in all or any part of the Downtown Bracebridge Downtown Autumn Art Market scheduled below. This is including any pre-or post-event activities. By participating you must agree to this Waiver.
I understand that participating in such an event, using public streets and facilities is a potentially hazardous activity and can result in serious personal injury or death. I am aware of and expressly assume all risks associated with participating in this Event, including, without limitation, the effects of weather, traffic, and the conditions of the streets used by the Event, and I assert that my participation in this Event is voluntary.

I acknowledge and understand the following as it relates to COVID-19:
1. Participation includes possible exposure to and illness from infectious diseases including but not limited to COVID-19. While particular rules and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious illness and death does exist;
2. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks related to illness and infectious diseases, such as COVID-19.
3. I acknowledge and understand COVID -19 as an assumed risk and release The District Municipality of Muskoka, its agents, officers, elected officials, volunteers, employees and those form whom it is legally responsible.

In consideration for being permitted to participate in this Event, I, for myself and for anyone entitled to act on my behalf, hereby waive and release, from any and all claims for injuries, illness and damages I may have arising out of the Event or my participation in the Event, the Bracebridge Business Improvement Area, the Town of Bracebridge, The District Municipality of Muskoka, its agents, officers, elected officials, volunteers, employees and those for whom it is legally responsible, any beneficiaries, sponsors, officials, participating clubs, communities, organizations, friends of the Event, agency partners, consultants, participants, third-party vendors, government or public entities (including, without limitation, the Department of Transportation), and each of their respective affiliates, successors, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, agents, and representatives, including, without limitation, the Event medical sponsor, medical director, and members of the medical team.

I intend by this Waiver and Release, in advance, to waive my rights, to covenant not to sue to release for future claims, and to discharge all of the persons and entities mentioned above, from any and all loss or damage, including, but not limited to claims for damages for death, personal injury or property damage that I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me, as a result of my participation in all or any portion of this Event, even though that liability may arise from negligence, carelessness, or recklessness (whether simple or gross) on the part of the persons or entities being released, from dangerous or defective property or equipment owned,
maintained, or controlled by them or because of their possible liability without fault.

I agree that my participation in the Event is subject to the sole discretion of the organizers of the Event, and that my participation may be limited or terminated, with or without cause.

I give permission to the (Event) (Organization), subsidiaries and agents, photograph, voice, or likeness, in any broadcast, telecast, advertising promotion, or other account of this Event or marketing or promotion for future or similar events, and waive any rights of privacy I may have in that regard, and I understand and consent that I will periodically be receiving communications related to my participation in the Event.

THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE SHALL BE INTERPRETED AND THE RIGHTS OF THE PARTIES DETERMINED UNDER THE LAWS OF THE PROVINCE OF ONTARIO. THE ONTARIO COURTS SHALL HAVE EXCLUSIVE JURISDICTION FOR ANY DISPUTE ARISING UNDER, OR PERTAINING TO, THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE.

I have carefully read this Waiver and Release and fully understand its contents. I am aware that this is a release of liability and a binding contract between myself, and the persons and entities mentioned above, and I sign it of my own free will. I understand that I am giving up substantial rights, including my right to sue. I acknowledge that I am signing this Waiver and Release freely and voluntarily and intend by my signature to be a complete and unconditional release of all liability to the greatest extent allowed by law.
